We’re proud to announce that we have won a BRONZE Environment Award in the national campaign to find the greenest individuals, companies, councils and communities.
We competed against more than 500 other nominations in the Green Apple Awards for the Built Environment & Architectural Heritage, and were presented with our trophy and certificate at a glittering presentation ceremony at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) on July 16th, 2018.
The judges commented:
” MANIT CONTRACTORS for their IPSWICH RAILWAY STATION FORECOURT project.
Significant upgrades to a working station platform at Ipswich railway station had their challenges. Manit planned-in mitigation and have enhanced the functionality and appeal of the forecourt while also improving its environmental credentials – all while achieving A1 Considerate Constructor certification.”
As a result of this Green Apple Award success, we have been invited to have our winning paper published in The Green Book, the leading international work of reference on environmental best practice, so that others around the world can follow their example and learn from their achievement. We could also progress to represent their country in the Green World Awards 2018 and have 100 trees planted in our name as part of the United Nations Billion Trees initiative. Watch this space everyone!
